Cisco’s Public Services Summit kicks off in Stockholm
Where in the world would you find a transportation guru rubbing shoulders with Obama’s drugs czar, Stockholm’s mayor and a former Finnish prime minister?
A lineup as eclectic as that can only mean another Public Services Summit, the annual invite-only event hosted by Cisco and the City of Stockholm in the Swedish capital and specifically targeted at senior policy advisors and major decision makers in education, healthcare and government.
This year’s Summit—the eighth so far—kicked off today with a welcome message from Sten Nordin, Mayor of Stockholm and included talks by Stefano Venturi, VP European Public Sector, Cisco, and Jocelyne Bourgon, former Secretary to the Canadian Cabinet, among others.
Tomorrow’s highlights will include presentations by the former head of Tony Blair’s Strategy Unit and Cisco Chief Technology Officer Padmasree Warrior, while on Friday the action will shift to Oslo for the event’s traditional gala finale at the Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony.
